Concessions Committee
Purpose of the position: Behind-the-scenes and swim meet day duties to provide concessions at Coton Commons Pool to complete the swim team experience for fans and swimmers, and to raise money for Lansdowne Lightning activities.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Concessions Committee: meets to plan concessions approach, brainstorm ideas and implement, responsible for working with site coordinator, community, and for food license with concessions and any vendors invited to sell on site.
- Concessions Lead: Takes charge of cleaning, organization and maintenance of Lansdowne Lightning concession stand and equipment. Considers alternate swim meet concessions. Assists in securing volunteers to operate concessions on swim meet days.
- Concessions Inventory Coordinator: Planning, pricing and purchasing of menu.
- Concessions Vendor Coordinator: Establishes partnerships with outside vendors and/or food trucks for swim meet concessions. Manage vendor relationships.
- Costco Shopper: Requires large vehicle/strong manpower to purchase items at Costco weekly or as needed. Asked to use personal funds, quick turn-around on reimbursement.
- Concession Sales: 2.5 hour shifts day of home meets (3 volunteers for each shift)
- 7:00a- 9:30a & 9:30a- 12:00p
- 4:30p- 7:30p & 7:00p- 9:30p
Social Committee
The social committee is responsible for planning all group functions for the swim team. As a member of the social committee you will be responsible for leading one event, assisting with 2-3 events, and attending & assisting with the end of the year party. Events this year include: Breakfast at the Pool, Themed Pep-Rallies and Meets, Poster contests, and 5 second club recognition. Responsibilities for the end of the year party include: DJ, Water Slide, Catering, Decorations, Beverages, Games, and Awards. You will also be responsible for assisting with set up and clean-up of the end of the year party as well as helping out as needed during the party. The committee consists of 7 members.
Spirit Wear Committee
The volunteers for the committee will work with our head of spirit wear to ensure that we have stock on hand at all home meets including time trails. They will manage set up of spirit wear table, manage selling of items and will provide money collected to treasurer. The volunteers will ensure that all spirit wear is put away at the end of the meet. The committee will meet prior to the start of the season to discuss roles further.
